I know I wrote I'll share some 'top secret' Space Jam files, however, I have so much stuff that I need to prepare it first. I have to sort it proper way to let you better understand the process of updating me to Lola Bunny. Sorry, you have to wait, but it's sooner than later... :)

Today I want to share with you few old Six Flags Astroworld park maps. Unfortunately, Astroworld is now defunct, so I hope these park maps will bring you back wonderful memories from this amusement park. It was a great place...

I'm only sharing those maps that feature me.

The 'Bugs-like' Honey Bunny era

Okay, I already discussed what was in 1960's and 1970's, now it's high time to write something about what happened to me in 1980's and 1990's.

In 1980 Warner Bros. sent to their franchisees a model sheet you see above. Some crazy artists decided to change my visual appearance in a way that I looked more like Bugs Bunny. Perhaps they just wanted to copy Disney's idea that a girlfriend of a furry character should look like 'more beautiful' copy of himself. Gray fur, standing ears... through the years I looked more and more like Bugs Bunny. Here are some model sheets from late 1980's and early 1990's.

An interesting thing is that in comics I was still appearing in my old yellow version and it was just a winter 1991 when I appeared in 'Bugs-like' version, but... only on a cover...

In Six Flags Amusement Parks I appeared in two versions, with floppy ears and a bow on my head and with standing ears.

There came 1990's... and Warner Bros. finally decided to use me in a full-length movie! However, artists stated that I looked too much like Bugs in drag and they decided to change my appearance. For some reasons, they wanted to change my name, too. But... I'll describe it in my next posts :) Stay tooned, I'll post some 'top secret' 'Space Jam' files, too!

Something for my old fans. Wanna go to Six Flags? :)

Today I'd like to share with you something that is extremely rare and very interesting. Especially interesting for those of you who like to go to and have fun in Six Flags Amusement Parks :) These are few old maps I've recently found. On three of them you can see me in the top left corner.

Why is this map so important for me? Because in Six Flags Great Adventure amusement park in Bugs Bunny Land there was an object called Honey Bunny Hut! And, for this moment, that's everything I know about that... now I'm looking for any information concerning this object. Anything like a photo, description of what was there, etc. would make me happy. If you have any information or just anything related to Honey Bunny Hut, feel free to share it in comments :) I have other maps, too.

Honey Bunny in The Looney Tunes Show?

Strange information appeared on my page at looneytunes.wikia.com... it can be fake because it is extremely ungrammatical, but who knows...

My official debut... and many faces of mine!

Now it's high time to write something on my official debut! A moment that I've been waiting for for over 13 years... In 1966 artists working on Looney Tunes comics decided to give Bugs Bunny a girlfriend. They wanted to use me, however, when they saw my comic story from 1953 they said I looked too outdated. The way I looked was characteristic for female characters from 1940's and early 1950's. They needed to change my visual appearance... They changed almost everything. Now I was a yellow or pale tan girl bunny, with blonde hair, dressed up like a student. My eyes were a little bigger and much rounder than those of Bugs. I looked much like today's Lola Bunny, and in fact Lola Bunny is an updated version of me from that time. So, ladies and gentlemen, a cover of my debut comic book! Yaaaaay!

But that was only one version of me, and in this version I was appearing only in comic stories. In merchandise I had at least three different versions that looked totally different from the comic one... let's look.

The models above are those that were the most used. In these versions I appeared in many different products, such as collector's cards added to Wonder Bread...

Apart from that, artists working for Warner Bros had different visions of my character, too. For example, Tom McKimson (a brother of Robert McKimson, my creator) was drawing me this way:

As you see, in merchandise I was literally a 'multi-faced beast' :D Such situation lasted until late 1980's when Warner Bros. introduced one official model sheet for me that was planned to be used both in comics and in merchandise (and, in the future, in films). This was the most 'Bugs-like' version of me that most of you probably remember. However, though this version of me was widely used in merchandise, in comics I appeared only once (and only on a cover!), not to mention that when I was planned to be put in a movie they decided to update me to Lola Bunny... but I'll describe everything in my next posts.

The very beginning...

This is what I looked like in 1953. I was a small white bunny, I had a blue bow on my head and I was dressed up with short blue dress with white spots. I've been created by Robert McKimson, the famous animator and director who created a model sheet of Bugs Bunny that was used through many decades.

In this prototypical version I appeared only once, in a comic story titled 'Honey Bunny', printed in one of the series of comic books titled 'Bugs Bunny's Album' telling stories of Bugs Bunny's descendants and relatives. This time I've been presented as Bugs' cousin, not a girlfriend. Although the story is quite short, you could learn much about me from it. I was a dreamer who dreamt about career of a famous African explorer hunting for elephants. I was quite credulous, I got myself caught in a joke by Bugs who introduced me "into the wild world of Africa" and between elephants... at the back of a circus. However, there appeared a man who helped me make my dreams come true and me and Bugs travelled to Africa. However, soon I realized I aimed too high... I was afraid of mice, not mentioning elephants! But the whole story has happy ending.

You may read this story on my website. There I have a whole gallery in which everything I have with me, including most of my comic stories that were published. However, I'm still looking for some stories I know to exist that I don't have in my collection.

Bugs Bunny's Magic World

Sometimes, when I surf on the Internet, I find some extremely rare things with me that I even didn't know about. One of such things is the film I share with you in this post. This is the final part of a show titled 'Bugs Bunny's Magic World' shown in 1976 in Theatre Royale in Marriott's Great America amusement park in Gurnee, Illinois, US. It was one of the first Looney Tunes performances shown in Marriott's Great America parks. In next years it was played in other parks, too. Mel Blanc, a man with 1000 voices, still did do the great job, voicing all the characters, including me (in some later shows I was voiced by Desire Goyette). Few chorus girls accompanied actors dressed up as Looney Tunes characters in this 40-minutes long performance.

I suppose you remember Lola Bunny from Space Jam, a girlfriend of Bugs Bunny. Recently she appears in much changed version in The Looney Tunes Show.

She first appeared in 1996, right? Right.

But this character has much longer history than most fans of Looney Tunes used to think!

Now you'll be surprised by what I'll say. Lola Bunny is... me! Yes, that's true.

I'm Honey Bunny, a girlfriend of Bugs Bunny. I first appeared in 1953, however, my official debut was in 1966 in a comic story titled 'Showdown at Carrot Gulch'. If you look up Google for this story you'll learn that I looked much like today's Lola. Of course, in merchandise I looked very different, I had various fur colors, different hair dresses, and so on. But in comic version I always appeared as a yellow girl bunny with blonde hair.

And, in fact, Lola Bunny is just a newer version of me. Why?

In 1980's some crazy people at Warner Bros. decided to change my visual appearance in a way that I looked like Bugs' twin sister. When they started working on a full-length movie in 1990's, they wanted to put me in it as Bugs' sweetheart. However, some artist noticed that I look like Bugs in drag so they decided to change my look. They tried to create a 'brand new' character, 'a new and IMPROVED Daisy Lou', however, they failed as the new girl bunny looked more like a teeenage boy...

Eventually, they decided to take comic version of me and to update my visual appearance. They changed my name as well, as 'Honey Bunny' sounded too outdate for them, moreover, in other series and films there appeared other characters having the name of Honey Bunny (remember Honey Bunny from Pulp Fiction?). Among proposals there appeared such names like Daisy Lou, Bunni Bunny, Lola Rabbit and Lola Buni (it's not a mistake!). Eventually, they chose the name of Lola Bunny.

As you see, my life story is quite long. Now I appear as Lola Bunny and most Looney Tunes fans recognize me as such, but very little of you know anything about me before 1996. It's high time to change it. In this blog I'll post some interesting things concerning me, Bugs Bunny, and of course Lola Bunny. Most files I have are 'TOP SECRET', however, I'm going to share some more interesting part of my archives with you... :)
